Thomas G. Clifton, CPA - Retired (Tax Season Reviewer)
Tom has been in public accounting practice for more than forty years. The CPA license was earned in 1977 while practicing (and skiing) in Mammoth Lakes, California. He began practice in Redding during 1980 and provided tax and accounting services to individuals, partnerships, corporations, and fiduciary entities. He merged his sole proprietorship with Hathaway, Ksenzulak & Lapp, LLP on January 1, 2012.
After serving in the U. S. Navy, Tom earned his Bachelor of Science degree, accounting major from California State University, Northridge in January, 1970. A Master of Science degree, majoring in tax was earned from the College of Financial Planning during 1997. Upon graduating in 1970, he began his career as a tax auditor with the Los Angeles County Assessors for three years. A balance of work with pleasure has always been important. While pursuing his many outdoor activities (tennis, skiing, white-water kayaking, fly fishing, backpacking, and mountain climbing among others) he provided quality professional services and trust for his client. Tom has volunteered to serve various non-profit organizations in the Redding area through the years.
Presently he is enjoying more leisure time with family and friends.
